Sledding with the Queen

Some school days are less then stellar. Today was one of them. Every school day can't be terrific, right? However, considering the public school kids had a snow day I was glad to get done as much as we accomplished. Phew! Then we were off to the sledding slopes to work on some physics.
It was chilly, but the hill conditions were fast and fun (a few too many crashes, but we recovered)!
We were surprised to have the hill to ourselves and some friends.
If you can guess who this fun adventurous mom is below, you get bonus points. It is not me. ;)

A few sweet and funny moments from our day:

* The kids take turns being the "blessing leader" during breakfast and lunch
every day.  Irina told us today that she knew enough English to try.
She said a sweet prayer at breakfast all on her own. I wish I wrote it down!

* Irina refused to do an age appropriate task on her own this evening.
She said, "Irina QUEEN. Queens need help!"
Hilarious! She sure does have a sense of humor.
