Well, Irina slept last night, but she was up at 6:15am and ready to celebrate!
Luke and Ethan were so excited that they were up at 5:00AM making the sign below and
setting out the gift they bought for Irina with their own money. (Aaron chipped in some money too.)
They planned this back in February and were SO eager for her to open it. It was all their own idea
and it was super cute to watch them plan it all out. They built this lego box for the gift.
Here's the gift inside the lego box.
She loved it!
I had such fun making a special photo book of Irina's first four months in our family.
She requested that "Daddy build Irina omelet for breakfast."
Happily listening to one of the many birthday phone calls.
After school, she was ready to build her legos. She's come so far with her fine motor skills!
She built this lego house today with a little help from her brothers. Oh, it was so hard for them to just watch.
"Please Mommy build Irina pizza for lunch?"
a birthday bike ride
dinner out - the matching blue shirts were NOT planned! ;)
Lastly, "Please Mommy build Irina apple cake."
We had a lovely day! Irina was such a gracious gift receiver and there were no disappointments at all. What a joy! Although, she is starting her list for what she wants when she turns 12. She has 364 more days to keep planning. I won't mention names, but there is one little boy in this house who wishes he had a doll. I'm thankful Irina is so willing to share her toys. :)
