Last Day

Our main goal for the day was to go to the US Embassy to have our exit interview and receive Irina's visa to enter the United States. The remainder of the day was for packing, playing UNO, and keeping the kiddos from going stir crazy.

We took a short walk right around our apartment and visited the exterior of the Opera House.
It is beautiful. Wish we could have gone inside!

Our visit to the US Embassy was a huge success! We have her visa and we're flying home tomorrow. (Tuesday) Praise the Lord for His grace and mercy on us. We are very ready to come home. I've never packed so fast before. :) Suitcases are lined up by the door and it's only 5:40pm.

Things I will miss about Ukraine: walking around the city, buckwheat porridge, vereeniki, friendly people, hearing Irina's native language, seeing God's amazing blessings along our journey, and Darin being able to spend so much time with us (without his full work schedule).

Things I am really excited to enjoy in America: running, my favorite foods, cold drinks, regular shower, clothes dryer, and fellowship with my family and friends.
