Gymnastics Camp

This week Irina and Aaron have been participating in gymnastics camp at our favorite gym.
(A first time doing any gymnastics for Irina!)
She could barely contain her excitement. Aaron was excited too, but he didn't talk nearly as much as she did. The first day I stayed the whole time to be sure she did okay following directions and trying new skills. I am not surprised that she smiled all morning and was so eager to learn new things.

I didn't want to be too annoying with my pictures, but the camp is awesome. The coach has done a great job providing lots of different activities and meeting all the varying levels of the kids. Irina is just learning how to do a summersault and cartwheel. There are other kids who have had much more experience and they've had opportunities to explore new skills too.

Not to overlook Aaron... he is having a great time too! He's taken a couple gym classes before and finally mastered climbing the 20 foot rope to the ceiling. Only one more day of camp on Thursday... we'll see if my weary butterfly can move her sore legs by the end of the day. She is using muscles she has never used before! Despite her achy muscles and tiredness, she tells me every day, "Thank you for camp, Mommy."
