As of 10:55pm this evening, Irina's flight has departed from Kiev and she is on her way here! We will get to meet this sweet girl in less then 24 hours assuming all flights are on schedule. I have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it.
Please pray:
* For Irina's safe travels and opportunities to rest along the way
* For courage and peace for Irina - that she wouldn't be too nervous
* For compassion and gentleness as we meet - that she would quickly feel safe in our care
* For continued unity between Darin and I as we embark on this new adventure
* For adjustment to the new time zone and graciousness from all of us as she settles in
* For the boys to feel comfortable to be themselves
* For realistic expectations of the boys behavior - that I would be full of grace and use teachable moments as an opportunity to demonstrate Christ's love and forgiveness
* For the ability to communicate and patience when we can't
* For the family that God has chosen to adopt Irina -- prepare their hearts
* That she would see Jesus and not materialism
* That we would lay it all at His feet and pray without ceasing, giving thanks in all circumstances!
* That in all things God will receive glory
