A Safe Haven

We finally have a room set up for Irina while she is here. Check it out!
On the door of her bedroom. The boys had fun decorating!
Love the girly bedspread leant by the Sorg's. Thank you!
The crocheted blanket was made by my aunt long ago as a gift for me.
My aunt is actually Ukranian! Isn't that cool?!? Thank you Aunt Carol.

Her bedroom is actually a room we use for homeschool geography and Bible. The map was here when we bought the house a couple years ago and we just recently repainted, added the molding and scripture of John 3:16.
(BEFORE we even knew she was coming.) How perfect is that?

We added these pictures of Irina and our family so
she could see where she came from and where she is staying.
The boys are busily drawing and coloring girly pictures to hang in her room.
Only SIX days!

I was encouraged by my devotional time yesterday that going out on a limb as we follow Jesus is safer then avoiding all risks. And we have seen that already... as we've taken this leap that He has led us to (which feels risky at times) we have been blessed exponentially. Praise Him!

  2. This Christmas, our family will be hosting an international orphan through Ukrainian Resource Center. We live in upstate NY and Andriy (8yrs) will be arriving on Dec 20th.
We are all very excited! We would love to get him a bible. Is there anyway you could pass along the name of the woman you got the Jesus Storybook Bible? Thank you and God Bless you ~ Stacey mikestzach@zoom-dsl.com
