Surveillance

Irina continues to love her camera. Yeah for rechargeable batteries!
Every now and then we load a few on the computer and delete others so there is more room on her memory card.
Many photos are silly and possibly embarrassing, but some are actually pretty good.
You never know when your photo will be taken so watch out! :)

She will go in the bathroom and take pictures of herself posing or making silly faces in the mirror.
She takes pictures of her school work to show Daddy. She takes pictures of unsuspecting people at the park.
Then she giggles and giggles. It is really quite a contagious laugh.

She has now discovered how to take videos with her camera (with the help of a brother who will remain nameless).  :) Last week during rest time, she recorded herself singing lullabies to her baby doll Polina. How sweet to have her singing in Russian forever saved on our computer! She's too shy to sing in our company, but was still eager to play back the video for us. Ever the mother's helper, she's even recorded two brothers in the midst of a scuffle and shown me the evidence of what happened. On New Years Day, she recorded Mommy dancing around the living room to music. I think that video needs to be deleted. :)

Such a clever girl is she! Her new trick is to place her camera in a room when you don't notice and start recording. Then she moves away from the camera. It seems we are regularly under surveillance and we often don't even know it! Remember when I thought she was an undercover spy? Perhaps she is gathering evidence of what life is like in our family for our social worker or creating her own reality tv series? Yikes! Whose idea was it to give her a camera anyway? :) hee hee

Does camera time count as screen time? Our legalistic kiddo is sometimes
concerned she is getting an unfair amount by using her camera so much. :)
