Sunday in Donetsk

Overall, another great day! If you read my previous post, you know that each day has its ups and downs. These picture will highlight the ups.

Plastic canvas lacing craft.

Lunch at Churasco - Do you see the meat? Ethan was in heaven!
And, they had broccoli and cauliflower… Mommy was happy too!
We all enjoyed this meal out.

Then the kids enjoyed a little indulgence of rides on four wheel bikes.
They were zooming around like crazy!

Do you see that big smile? She loved it!
Remember how much she loved riding bikes when she was visiting last Christmas?
Then we went off on an adventurous walk to find the Aquarium.
We had a general idea of where to go and began walking. Here are some sights we passed:

 The Olympic Training Stadium
This cute girl is not used to all the exercise and her legs were hurting.
Of course, Daddy to the rescue! :) Which meant everyone got a turn
on Daddy's shoulders except for me.
After walking for about 1.5 hours, we still had not found the aquarium. It was getting dark (around 3:45pm) and we were all tired. We prayed that we would find someone who spoke English to help us. And as usual, God answered big. We met Natalia (should have taken a picture!). She told us where the aquarium was and we realized it was still too far and too late. Then she insisted on walking us to the electric bus and escorting us back to Lenin Square which was not far from our apartment. She even insisted on paying for our tickets on the bus. She was so helpful and of course curious why we were visiting Ukraine. Her response to our adoption. "Irina is a very lucky little girl." Such a sweet woman!

It was an adventure to say the least. We enjoyed our day and the boys were surprisingly not so grumbly about the disappointment of not finding the aquarium. Praise the Lord! They were thrilled to ride the electric bus together. (Did I mention how chilly it is here after the sun goes down. Brrrr…)

And then some group screen time because Mommy needed a break while she made dinner.

Tomorrow (Monday), Darin and Irina will go take care of more paperwork and I'll stay behind with the boys. Then we'll depart around 6pm for our overnight 12 hour train ride to Kiev. Yahoo! Thank you for praying!

Redemption is happening...in each of your hearts as you've trusted our Lord! You're out of your 'zone'...keep letting go...it's good:) It's ok! and it's all covered in His loving hands:) !!! xo!!
