Friday Field Trips

We spent the last two Fridays taking our school on the road...

Up first: Henricus Historical Park : "the second successful settlement in the New World," and the "English home of Pocohontas."

 We learned about Virginia Indians...
 ...and a young English colony.
The guides were entertaining and very interactive. It was a chilly and educational afternoon.

Next stop: Colonial Williamsburg Homeschool day. The advantage to a cold, dreary day? Longer tours and not many crowds. However, it was bone chilling. For both trips, we went with a group of Ethan's classmates at the homeschool academy.

Can you find four faces in the gnarly tree?

And a great way to end the day...a performance from the drum and fife band!
