Being Stretched

I am thankful for friends who stretch my kids beyond what I can imagine! Luke has classmates and long time friends that asked him to perform alongside them in the school talent show. He immediately said "NO!" However, they persisted and encouraged. (Such dear, sweet, and genuine twin girls his age. ) They were even willing to learn the song he previously played in his drum showcase. At the end of February, it was show time! With the help of Passion Academy, Luke accompanied the girls and younger siblings to "This is Amazing Grace" by Phil Wickham.

Ethan sang along with the chorus (way out of his comfort zone too). Definitely a first for Luke to perform in front of his peers. It was a full house and I know he was so nervous (as were Darin and I!!!) We were all relieved when the evening was over, but I don't think there were any regrets. I think some classmates were surprised to see another side of the very shy and quiet Luke they see at school. (Not like the gregarious, non-stop talker we see at home!)
