Friday, May 27th marked the last day of our official school year. More then 180+ school days completed and our curriculum complete. Phew! There are many reasons why I love homeschooling, but I have to say that I'm depleted and so ready for a rest.
The tables were turned when it comes to celebrating the end of the school year this year. I had no special end of school year plans besides a few treats and a sign. However, thanks to a very dear friend the kids had plans for ME!!
My friend Jessica did some scheming with the kids unbeknownst to me. She worked it out to take the kids shopping to get me a "teacher" gift. Then coached them to make me a special breakfast on our last day. I wish I could say I had no idea there was
something going on. ;) Thankfully, they aren't that sneaky yet and I tried to pretend I was clueless to some kind of plan. This beautiful plant appeared last Friday morning, as well as this special breakfast spread, cards, and a gift. (pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and a hard boiled egg)
We are ready for summer 2016!
